Repetition of Control (ROC) was a multidisciplinary group exhibition presented as part of NYCxDESIGN 2026, bringing together artists and designers working across sculpture, installation, photography, computational media, illustration, experimental design, and material-based practices.

The exhibition explored repetition not as sameness, but as a condition shaping contemporary experience — a structure embedded within labor, technology, memory, ritual, emotional cycles, and systems of everyday life.

Across the exhibition, digital structures dissolved into human gestures, domestic objects became emotional archives, and repeated actions transformed into reflections on fragility, intimacy, endurance, and resistance. Through materially and conceptually distinct practices, participating artists examined how systems of repetition simultaneously constrain, preserve, transform, and reveal human experience.
